Dealer Comments

There are street rodsand then there are cars like this. This 1933 Plymouth 5-Window Coupe combines an all-steel prewar body, old-school hot-rod attitude, legendary Hemi power, and modern technology into one seriously impressive machine.

The all-steel body is finished in sinister flat black, giving the Plymouth a purposeful look that fits its personality perfectly. From the classic five-window coupe profile to the enormous rear tires tucked underneath, there's no mistaking what this car was built to do.

And the centerpiece of the entire build is sitting right up front.

Power comes from a legendary 1958 Chrysler 392 Hemi V8, one of the most recognizable engines from the golden age of American hot rodding. The Hemi is topped with aluminum Hot Heads cylinder heads and an incredible Inglese 8-stack fuel-injection system. Eight individual velocity stacks provide the unmistakable appearance of a vintage competition induction setup while modern electronic fuel injection provides the drivability, starting, and consistency expected from today's technology.

It's the perfect marriage of old-school hot-rod appearance and modern EFI performance.

Backing the 392 is a built 727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission, creating a drivetrain capable of handling the Hemi's power while remaining surprisingly easy to enjoy on the street.

Getting that power to the pavement is a serious set of rubber. Out back are massive Mickey Thompson 33x22.00-15 tires, complemented by 185R15 front tires for the unmistakable big-and-little stance that has defined traditional street rods for generations.

Fortunately, this Plymouth has the braking capability to match its performance. A four-wheel Wilwood disc-brake system provides modern stopping power and adds confidence behind the wheel.

Inside, the street-rod theme continues with black vinyl bucket seats, digital gauges, and a distinctive Gorilla Hair headliner. It's a straightforward, driver-focused cockpit that combines traditional hot-rod character with the information and functionality you want in a properly sorted build.

But the specification sheet only tells part of the story.

What really makes this Plymouth special is how well it works. The 392 Hemi and Inglese injection system have been dialed in beautifully. The engine is tuned properly, the drivetrain works together as it should, and despite the aggressive appearance and serious hardware, the car is an absolute pleasure to drive.

That's an important distinction with a custom street rod. It's one thing to assemble an impressive collection of parts. It's another to build a car where everything works together.

This one does.

The combination of an all-steel 1937 Plymouth five-window body, 1958 392 Hemi, aluminum Hot Heads, Inglese 8-stack electronic fuel injection, built 727 TorqueFlite, four-wheel Wilwood disc brakes, enormous Mickey Thompson rear tires, and classic hot-rod stance makes this one unforgettable machine.

It has the look of an old-school street rod, the heart of a vintage Hemi-powered hot rod, and enough modern technology underneath to make it something you'll actually want to drive.
